Uzbekistan’s tourism capacity will be broadcast on Indian TV channels.

The State Committee on tourism development of Uzbekistan jointly with Uzbekistan’s embassy in India organized “Travelxp” TV company’s visit to Uzbekistan to promote Uzbek tourism. 

 The main purpose of the visit is to produce the film which will disclose the touristic potential of Uzbekistan and will be aired on Indian TV channels in 2018.

The production group of “Travelxp” TV company’s visit to Uzbekistan had been between December 12-23, 2017. During that period the team paid visits to historical and modern sightseeing of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva cities.

“Travelxp” is a private TV channel which was established in 2011 and is aimed to broadcast materials on tourism. The channel’s programs are broadcast throughout India and other countries in Hindu, English, Tamil, Bengal, Thai, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Persian and Chinese languages.

Uzbekistan: Over 1,700 Mosques Hosting Khatm Quran in Ramadan

During the holy month, more than 2,100 mosques across the Central Asian country will hold Taraweeh prayers, with over 1,700 completing the recitation of the entire Quran within 27 days, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan said.

Approximately 3,500 reciters with melodious voices will lead the Taraweeh prayers and the Khatm Quran in mosques. 

On February 27, a presidential decree titled “On the Worthy Conduct of the Blessed Month of Ramadan” announced that the month of Ramadan this year will commence on March 1.

Additionally, the Fatwa Center of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has determined the nisab of zakat, sadaqa al-fitr, and fidya amounts for Ramadan 2025 AD / 1446 Hijri.
